AYRSHIRE ACES LEAD THE PACK AT WISHAW

Ayrshire professionals Edward Thomson (Largs) and David McLure (Troon Welbeck) lead the field of 50 at the halfway stage of the Wishaw Golf Club 36-hole pro-am.
Both hit the four-under-par 65 mark and will start Sunday’s second round with a shot in hand of Andrew Marshall (Houston Golf Range), Mark Barnard (Inchmarlo), Fraser Mann (Musselburgh) and Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle).
Stewart Savage (Dalmuir) led the BSB Structural trio of amateurs, Willie Shaw (handicap 16), Gerry McKenna (18) and Alan Armit (3) to victory in the first-day team event with a net score of 16-under-par 53.
