WEST VETS FINALISTS AT RENFREW
Defending champion Helen Faulds (Douglas Park) is through to Wednesday morning's final of the West of Scotland veterans' championship at Renfrew Golf Club.
She beat Sheila Shaw (Lochwinnoch) and then Anna Telfer (Milngavie) to earn a match against Jennifer Mack (Haggs Castle) for the title.
Mrs Mack beat leading qualifier Janice Patgerson (Drumpellier) in the morning and Pat Hutton (Lanark) in the semi-finals.
Mary Irving (Ranfurly Castle) will play Maureen Rennie (Douglas Park) in the final of the Bronze championship.
Today's (Tuesday) results:
Quarter-finals - Jennifer Mack (Haggs Castle) bt Janice Patgerson (Drumpellier) at 19th, Pat Hutton (Lanark) w.o. Heaher Anderson (Caldwell) scr, Anna Telfer (Milngavie) bt Fiona Roger (Ranfurly Castle) 2 and 1, Helen Falds (Douglas Park) bt Sheila Shaw (Lochwinnoch) 2 and 1.
Semi-finals - Mack bt Hutton 2 and 1, Faulds bt Telfer 6 and 5.
