ONLY TWO SCOTS BEAT CHALLENGE
TOUR CUT IN FRANCE

Only two Scots - George Murray and Andrew McArthur - and West-Linton based Welshman Gareth Wright survived the halfway cut at one-under-par 143 in the European Challenge Tour's Toulouse Open over the 6,924yd, par-72 course at Seilh.
Rookie Murray from Anstruther, 23, maintained his challenge with a 70 for seven-under-par 137 to be in joint fifth position. The former Scottish amateur champion started well - birdies at the third and fifth - sagged a bit in the middle with bogeys at the 11th and 13th, but then picked up momentum again to birdie the long 14th and short 15th.
Andrew McArthur, another past Scottish champion, had a 71 for 141 and a share of 30th place.. After a uninspired outward half, the Windyhill man was three under par for the last eight holes with birdies at the 11th, 12th and 17th.
Gareth Wright had a 70 for 138 to be in joint seventh position.
Scott Henderson missed out on 145 after a second-round 70 that included a triple bogey 7 at the second. Birdies at the fifth, eighth and 14th were cancelled out by three bogeys.
Peter Whiteford had a 72 for 146. He had as many birdies as any of the leaders - six in all - but he squandered too many shots - four single bogeys and a double at the 18th.
Former Walker Cup man David Patrick hardly looked like the man who won the Callaway Challenge on the Tartan Tour last week. The Edinburgh player had a 76 for 151 with halves of 33 and 43 in his second round. He had an eagle and two birdies in the first seven holes and then two double bogeys on the way home.
