NORTHERN OPEN WINNER MURRAY
URQUHART MISSES CUT IN PGA
EUROPRO TOUR EVENT AT PEEBLES

Last week the winner of the Northern Open ... this week failure to beat the 36-hole cut in the PGA EuroPro Tour event at the Cardrona Hotel & Golf Resort, Peebles. That's how it's gone for Murray Urquhart from Inverness.

He had rounds of 75 and 78 for 153 and missed the cut (148 and better qualified for the final round) by a few shots.

Chris Kelly and Paul Doherty, in joint seventh position on 142, are the leading Scots, Kelly with scores of 72 and 70, Doherty with a pair of 71s.

Neil Walker from England, who had a hole in one at the 189yd ninth, leads at 11-under-par 133 with scores of 68 and 65. He is one shot ahead of compatriot Chris Hanson on 134 (66-68).
