GORDON, JACK DOHERTY AND ELLIOT
SALTMAN SURVIVE IRISH CUT

Three Scots - Aberdonian Graham Gordon, Glasgow-born Jack Doherty and Elliot Saltman from Dalkeith - survived the 36-hole cut in the PGA EuroPro Tour event at Faithlegg House Golf Club, near Waterford in Ireland.
Former Scottish amateur champion Gordon had rounds of 72 and 68 and goes into the final round in a share of 18th place on four-under-par 140.
Doherty has shot 70 and 71 to be joint 26th on 141.
Rookie pro Saltman, oldest of the three talented brothers from the Craigielaw club, made it with nothing to spare in joint 50th position on level par 144, made up of a pair of 72s.
Graeme Brown (Montrose) missed out by one shot with 73 and 72 for 145.
Anglo-Scot Alasdair Hay (Royal Winchester) had 76 and 71 for 147 while Jack Doherty's younger brother, Paul, a one-time winner of the Scottish boys' match-play title, had 73 and 75 for 148.
Leading the chase for first prize are three Englishmen - Graeme Clark on 11-under-par 133, Martin Le Mesurier on 135 and Jason Kelly on 136.
