CHRIS DOAK LEADS BY TWO SHOTS IN
NORTHERN OPEN AT SKIBO CASTLE

Northern Open “specialist” Chris Doak, with a fine round of six-under-par 65, opened up a two-shot lead at the end of the first round of this week’s 72-hole tournament at Skibo Castle.

Steve Parry (Bolton) won this week’s Tamsel Tour 36-hole event at Helsby Golf Club. He had rounds of 71 and an incredible 61 for a totgal of 132 for a four-stroke victory.
