CHALLENGE TOUR FIRST DAY HALTED IN
MADRID BECAUSE OF STORMS, FLOODING

This week's European Challenge Tour event in Madrid, the Open Mahou de Madrid at the Casino Club de Golf Retamaros, may have to be reduced to 54 holes.
This follows an early suspension of play today in the first round because of thunder storms and flooding in parts of the course.
Four Scots are in the field - Peter Whiteford, Eric Ramsay, Scott Henderson, Jamie McLeary - plus West Linton-based Welshman Gareth Wright.
