VIKKI OPENS WITH A 74 IN FUTURES CLASSIC EVENT
Vikki Laing from Musselburgh returned a first-round score of two-over-par 74 (35-39) to be lying joint 47th in a field of 143 for the Jalapeno Futures Classic on the United States Futures Tour over the Palm View course at McAllen in southern Texas.Brenda McLarnon from Belfast had an 83 (41-42) to be 137th.Danah Ford from Indianapolis led the field in the 54-hole event by two strokes with a 68 (35-33) over the par-72, 6,379yd course.
