LUKE DONALD LEADS BYRON NELSON CLASSIC
BUT MICHAEL SIM SLUMPS OVER CUT MARK

Aberdonian Michael Sim dropped from joint ninth overnight over the cut-off mark at the halfway stage of the Byron Nelson Classic at Irving, Texas.
Michael, brought up in Australia from the age of seven, followed up a 68 in the first round with a bogey-ridden 74 today for a 36-hole tally of 142 - one shot too many to make the cut for the final 36 holes.
Sim, watched by his parents from Perth, Western Australia - on their way to a holiday in Aberdeen, had bogeys at the second, third, fourth, 11th, 12th and 17th, which was most uncharacteristic. He had birdies at the eighth and 14th.
The good news is that Englishman Luke Donald leads the field with 67 and 66 for 133 - one shot ahead of Brett Wetterich, Fredrik Jacobsen and Sean O'Hair.
