CELTIC PRO TOUR ANNOUNCES
MEMBERSHIP OFFERS FOR 2007
The Celtic Pro Tour, the new development golf tour which has grown from last year’s inaugural Dragon Tour, has announced new membership offers for its 2007 season.
Professionals who join the Tour before May 9 will have their details published in the official handbook, which will be sent to clubs and sponsors of the Tour, as well as the media. An entry on the official Tour website, www.celticpro.com will also be available to all members.
“We are well aware that golfers on the Tour need to find their own sponsors. In offering this new handbook entry and web presence, we are providing them with further opportunities to provide coverage for the people who financially support them, by listing their sponsors names and details,” said Rhydian Thomas, Celtic Pro Tour’s chief executive officer and tournament director.
£175 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
Annual membership to the Tour costs £175, and each professional entering will pay separate individual event entry which is priced at £99 for each of the 15 events. Amateur golfers with a scratch handicap or better can also enter events at a cost of £55.
“The website presence given to the golfers could be very useful to their sponsors, as the site peaked at 70,000 hits for the last month of last season and is starting to reach similar levels as the new season approaches,” said Thomas
Another opportunity is on offer within this new membership period, as the Celtic Pro Tour has joined with SkyCaddie, as the Official Range Finder of the Tour. Anyone joining before the May 9 date, can purchase one of the SkyCaddie range of products at a specially reduced rate, exclusive only to Celtic Pro Tour members.
Jackie Hitchcock, Managing Director of Skyhawke Technologies UK, confirmed, “We are delighted to be supporting this rapidly developing Tour, and SkyCaddie can play a big part in its success. Golf is more than a game of skill. It is also a game of strategy and course management. SkyCaddie combines state-of-the-art GPS technology with a network of precision-mapped golf courses to provide golfers with the information they need to play every hole.”
