TWO SHOTS WITH FOUR TO
PLAY AT SCOTTSDALE
Rookie Jeff Quinney looked set to score his first US PGA Tour win when he stood 21 under par after 14 holes of the final round of the FBR Open at Scottsdale, Arizona today.
John Rollins was his nearest challenger, two shots back at 19 under par after 14 holes.
Then came Brad Bryan (three to play) and Australian Aaron Baddeley (four to play), both on 18 under par.
The noisy crowd amounted to 162,750 (just under last year's Saturday record of 168,337) which puts the one-day attendance at our Open in the shade a bit!
Quinny, as 28-year-old from Eugene, Oregon, won the US amateur title in 2000 and played for Arizona State University on the college circuit.
