Scots men beat Spain in first match in Sweden

Scotland qualified for the top flight of the European men's amateur team championship at Ljunghusen, Sweden and beat Spain 4.5-2.5 in their first match,
The Scots will now play England, who beat Wales 4-3.
Ireland lost 4-3 to Denmark so the other semi-final is between the Danes and Sweden, 5.5-0.5 winners over Germany.
Scotland's women qualified for the top flight at Is Molas Golf Club, Italy with a three-under-par total of 717. Ahead of them, only Italy (701), Sweden (706) and Germany (716).
England (726) and Ireland (729) squeezed into the top flight which was headed by Italy with an impressive 19-under-par total of 701, five ahead of Sweden who were 10 ahead of third placed Germany (716).
