Kris Nicol makes it four wins in a row at Spey Bay with  6-under 63

Kris Nicol (Dunes Golf Centre) notched his fourth win in a row - his fifth in all this season - at today's North-east Golfers' Alliance fixture at Spey Bay Golf Club.
He shot a six-under-par round of 63 (32-31) - seven birdies and one bogey - over the Spey Bay Golf Club winter course to head a field of 94 players by two strokes
Craig Dempster and Craig Lawrie, two Paul Lawrie Golf Centre players, were joint runners-up on the 67 mark

ALAN GALL REPORTS:

A strong contingent of 94 players made the trip to Spey Bay today.  The weather was decidedly Spring-like with light breezes to begin with followed by strengthening winds from 1pm.  Very good Summer greens in play with preferred lies on fairways being a welcome change from winter mats.  
The Spey Bay course suffered severe damage during the long dry spell in 2018 with the failure of the course watering system occurring at just the worst time.  As a result, to avoid further damage to normal tees, teeing grounds today were very rough which caused some difficulty for players.  
 2018 probably the worst year for greenkeepers across the North-east of Scotland for many a year.
