Alex Glennie wins Scottish Senior Women's Stroke Play title

Alex Glennie regained the Scottish Senior Women's Open Stroke-play championship at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club today and headed the 16 qualifiers for the match-play tournament.
After shooting only one birdie in her-up with  first-round 80, Glennie (pictured) chalked up gains at the third, fourth, seventh, 10th and 11 in improving by 10 strokes for a 70 and a six-over-par total of 150.
She finished a shot ahead of the first-round leader Frances Millar (Carnoustie Caledonia) who slipped back from a 73 to a 78 for 151.
Millar had three birdies in her second round but also double bogeys at the eighth, short 10th, and par-5 11th.
Liz Keohone (Loudoun Gowf) had the best net total of 140 off seven of a handicap. South African Sonja Bland, a five-handicapper, was runner-up with a net total of 142
