Gary Tough, Edzell Golf Club's +1 handicap amateur member, today won the Midland Golfers' Alliance top scratch award at Charleton golf course, Colinsburgh, Fife.
Gary Tough, Edzell Golf Club's +1 handicap amateur member, today won the Midland Golfers' Alliance top scratch award at Charleton golf course, Colinsburgh, Fife.
In hard, frosty conditions, followed by snow, sleet and a biting cold wind, Tough continued his fine form with a three-over-par 75 to win by one stroke from another amateur, one-handicapper Stuart McKendrick (Dunkeld and Birnam).
In the Handicap section Colin Sleight, who plays off 11 at Murrayshall, won by four shots with a net 70.
