Craig Ross has a seven-birdie round to be in second place
at El Valle Open

Cambuslang's Craig Ross produced a seven-birdie round for a two-under-par 69 and second place at the end of the first round of the Evolve Pro Tour's El Valle Open in the Murcia area of south-east Spain today.
Ross, pictured, birdied the third, fourth, fifth, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th in halves of 34-35.
He also had a double bogey 5 at the par-3 12th and bogeys at the seventh, 13th and 15th.
Ross is two behind the leader, Spain's Jose Buendia.
Scottish amateur Lewis Maynard had a quadruple bogey 8 on his way to an 85 (47-38) for a share of 44th place.
