By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Jessica Hall, 19-year-old England women's amateur international from Bishop Auckland, is sharing the lead after the first round of the Algarve Pro Tour's 36-hole Morgado Classic.
Jessica, pictured right, crammed eight birdies and three bogeys into a five-under-par round of 68 which was matched only by another amateur, Dong Hoon Jung from South Korea.
They lead at the halfway stage by two shots from two English pros, Garry King and David Dixon and Sweden's Hannes Ronneblad.
Aberdeen's Craig Lawrie had an eagle 3 at the seventh, a birdie at the second and only one other deviation from par, a bogey at the 15th in halves of 33 and 38, having started his round at the 10th.
His round of two-under 71 sees him sharing sixth place with a trio of English pros, Dan Garner, Sam Robinson and Robert Harrhy.
