Oldcorn leading Scot at halfway in Algarvian 

Senior Invitational

Andrew Oldcorn maintained his position as the leading Scot in a field of 117 with a repeat 72 for a halfway tally of level par 144 and a share of 13th place in the 6th Algarvian Senior Invitational over the Pinheiros Altos and Laranjal courses today (Thursday).

The Edinburgh professional, pictured, is eight strokes behind the Spanish leader Jose Manuel Carriles who has scored 67 and 69 for a three-stroke lead from Gary Wolstenholme (England) 69-70, Welshman Mark Mouland 70-69 and Spain's Miguel Angel Martin 69-70.
Carnoustie's Fraser Mann is the second highest placed Scot in  a share of 19th place on 146 (74-72).
Aberdeen businessman Nick Robson, who has a handicap of +1, is joint 54th on 157 after rounds of 75 and 82.
The event is part of the Senior Golf Circuit which has a minimum age of 48 compared with 50 on the European Senior Tour.
