Aberdonian Fisher lying second in Boyd


Quaich Memorial Tournament at St Andrews

Aberdeen's Adam Fisher, a student at Missouri University, is lying second behind the six-stroke leader, Irish international Eoin Leonard (Yale University), home town Ascot on his holidays, with one round to go in the Boyd Quaich Memorial students' international tournament over the Old and New Courses, St Andrews.

Fisher, pictured left, has shot rounds of 68, 70 and 68 for an eight-under-par tally of 206. He had four birdies and one bogey in his third round over the New Course today (WED).

Leonard (pictured right) has produced consistent quality scoring has been brilliant - 67, 67 and 66 for 14-under 200. He has not had a bogey in his last 36 holes.
Stirling student Andrew Davidson is in third place overnight on 208 with rounds of 70, 68 and 70.
Defending champion George Burns (St Andrews) is 13 shots behind the leaders after scores of 70, 68 and 75 for 213.
