MURRAYFIELD YOUTH T10 FINISH IN WALES

Alastair Thurlow (Murrayfield) finished tied 10th in a big field for the Welsh Youths Open 72-hole stroke play golf championship at Whitchurch Golf Club, Cardiff over the weekend.

Thurlow had rounds of 71, 71, 71 and 73 for two-over-par 286.

He finished seven shots behind the English winner by three, Bailey Gill (Lindrick) with rounds of 68, 69, 69 and 73.

Thurlow's clubmate Andrew Ni missed the cut by four shots with rounds of 79 and 73 for 152.

The CSS was 72, 72, 71 and 72.
