Barrie Edmond makes good start in bid for 

record-equalling fifth Aberdeen Links title

Barrie Edmond (Bon Accord), seeking to equal the Aberdeen Links golf championship record number of five title wins, set out in impressive style today (Saturday) with a round of six-under-par 65 to lead the first qualifying round by three strokes.
The record was set by the late Jack Booth who was champion five times between 1947 and 1953.
