Edinburgh girl wins mixed Under-13s' national title

The winner of the tournament was a girl, Abby Steedman, a pupil at St George's School for Girls, Edinburgh.

She won with a net 61, one stroke better than the two top boys, Mark Corray (Robert Gordon's College and Gregor Graham (Blairgowrie).

Robert Gordon's College did well with six boys in the top eight finishers in a field of 32 players from a wide area.

Other leading girls were Emma Chapman (Loretto School) with a net 68, one shot better than Niamh Henderson (St Leonard's School).
