Tom McLevy heads amateur 1-2-3

at Monifieth
Blairgowrie scratch amateur Tom McLevy won the individual event at today's Midland Golfers' Alliance William Miller Team Competition over the Monifieth Links' Medal couse.
In testing, windy conditions and with the course longer than was played last week, McLevy headed the field with a two-over-par 73.
It was a rare 1-2-3 all-amateur finish with Edzell's Gary Tough and Jim Watt sharing second place on 74.
Local eight-handicap member Tony Lumsden led the way in the handicap section with a net 68.
Winners of the team competition were Bill Cunningham (Alloa), Alan Didcock (Alloa) and Brent Cunningham (Gleneagles) returning a score of 60.
