Northern Counties Cup final

It's an East v West final in the Senior Northern Counties Cup men's double foursomes team match-play golf tournament at Inverness Golf Club tomorrow morning (Friday).

Hosts Inverness, trophy winners in 2013, will play Royal Aberdeen, beaten in last year's final.

Turriff, surprise quarter-final winners against defending champions Duff House Royal 1 , were cut down to size by Inverness whose first pair, L Chancellor and S Barron, were on top form in the semi-final, going round in a gross 69  and finishing 15 up, Inverness winning by 17 holes overall

Royal Aberdeen had a comfortable seven-hole win in the morning against  Nairn 1 and then played well to oust Duff House Royal 2 who had beaten Elgin in the morning.
