Els agrees Wentworth greens need replacing
Ernie Els has pledged to help make Wentworth
the "Augusta of Europe" following criticism of the greens during last
week's BMW PGA Championship.
Justin Rose and Luke Donald were among the players to voice
dissatisfaction with the putting surfaces for the European Tour's
flagship event , with two-time winner Donald suggesting they needed replacing for the second time in six years."It's a fair comment. I think the greens weren't up to scratch, especially the first three days of the tournament," said Els, who oversaw a controversial redesign of the course in 2009.
