CAMERON KEEPS IT UP IN EGYPT
Ellon's Ross Cameron maintained the good form that earned him a joint second finish last week in Egypt with a three-under-par round of 69 in this week's German PGA developmental tour event, the Red Sea Ain Sokhna Classic over the same course.
Cameron is tied for third place. three shots behind the leader from Finland, Teemu Bakker.
The Scot birdied the second, third, eighth, 10th, 14th and 17th in halves of 33 (two under) and 36 (one under). His bogeys came at the seventh, 13th and 15th.
Northern Open champion David Law (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) had four birdies but a double bogey 5 at the short ninth knocked him back to a share of 22nd place on 73.
Stablemate Sam Kiloh is T31 with a three-birdie 74.
Two more Paul Lawrie Golf Centre players, Kris Nicol and Phil McLean, as well as last year's Scottish amateur champion Chris Robb (Meldrum House) are T52 on 76.
