SCOTTISH SENIORS' INTER-AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
TITLE-HOLDERS GLASGOW STRONG
AGAIN FOR DEFENCE AT DUNBAR
The Scottish Seniors Golfing
Society season draws to a conclusion on Wednesday, September 17 when the inter-area team championship takes place at
Dunbar.
Eleven
areas, each fielding a
team of six players, are chasing the title which Glasgow won last year at
Murcar
Links.
Predicting a winner in this form of golf is always difficult but
Glasgow have a strong team again and will be looking for a third win in
an event which
was first held in 2008.
Lothians
will fancy their chances on home ground but are without John Fraser
and David Gardner, who are on senior international duty along the coast
at North Berwick.
Angus and Stirlingshire, who came close last year, will also have high hopes of taking the title.
