MONTROSE LINKS TOUR PRO WINS £850 PRIZE IN DUNDEE


GRAEME BROWN WINS DOWNFIELD

PRO-AM WITH 

BOGEY-FREE 67

Montrose Links tour pro Graeme Brown won for the second time in four starts with a four-under-par 67 at the RRS Discovery pro-am at Downfield Golf Club, Dundee today (Thursday).
Brown, pictured, a former Scotland amateur international, earned the £850 first prize with a bogey-free card studded with birdies at the third, fourth, sixth and 16th in halves of 33-34.
He won by two strokes from joint runners-up Gavin Hay (Nairn Dunbar) and David Orr (Mearns Castle). They both received £580.
Craig Mathison (Falkirk Tryst) who tied for fourth place on 70 with James McKinnon (Irvine) led the "Double Tree by Hilton" trio of amateurs, Richard Ellison (handicap 15), Alastair Brookes (10) and Robert Glashan (15) to victory with a 12-under-par total of 130.
