FORMER SCOTTISH BOYS CHAMPION IN JOINT FIFTH PLACE
PAUL DOHERTY LEADING SCOT ON
EUROPRO TOUR EVENT AT LEEDS
South Wales-based former Scottish boys match-play champion Paul Doherty is the leading Scot at the end of the first round of the PGA EuroPro Tour event's first day at Moor Allerton Golf Club, Leeds.
Doherty is joint fifth with a three-under-par 71, six shots behind the defending champion, Billy Hemstock, who leads by two with a six-under 65.
Neil Henderson (Renaissance) and Jordan McColl (Scotscraig) are the only other Scots in the top 20 of the usual massive field of 156
They are joint sixth on 70.
