 BRODIE IN STRONG POSITION TO WIN

David Brodie (Wigtown and  Bladnoch) extended his lead over Michael Grunwell (Powfoot) at the top of the South Order of Merit with a quarter- final run at the South match-play tournament. 

With only three counting events remaining, he is now in a great position to claim the Order of Merit title, especially as Grunwell is unable to play in the next two.

Martin McNae (Lochmaben) continued his good form with a run to the semi-finals that saw him move up to fourth place.
