LANARKSHIRE START WEST OF SCOTLAND LEAGUE WITH A WIN

Lanarkshire
started their West of Scotland A-Team league with a 4.5-3.5 win against Ayrshire at a
windswept, wet Drumpellier today.
The match was close throughout and actually
went to the last putt of the last match to give Danny Keeney of Bellshill the
match-winning half after a brave fightback from Gary Bryden of Girvan who made
birdies at 16 and 17.
Next week Lanarkshire play Glasgow at
Cowglen and Ayrshire play Renfrewshire
at Cochrane Castle.
