GRANT FORREST TOP SCOT AFTER DAY 1 IN EUROPEAN AMATEUR CHSHIP

Grant Forrest was the best placed Scot in joint fourth place at the end of the first round of the European men's individual amateur championship at El Prat Golf Club, Spain. He shot a one-under-par 71, only one shot behind the three joint leaders, who included Irishman Reeve Whitson
