OUTSIDER KELLY IN WINNING TRIO AT TURRIFF PRO-AM

Scott Henderson (Kings Links) and Greig Hutcheon (Banchory) did their best to make it an all-Aberdeenshire party at the top of the leaderboard in the Turriff pro-am today (Friday) but Cawder's Chris Kelly gatecrashed to make it a three-way tie for victory on three-under-par 67.
Counting rising star Aberdeen-based Greg McBain (Gamola Golf), who finished joint fourth on 68 alongside Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf), there were three "locals" in the first five.
Henderson, Hutcheon and Kelly each earned £735. McBain and Fox picked up £371 apiece.
McBain also led home the winning amateur trio of Iain Fairweather (handicap 6), William Nicol (18) and Bruce Melvin (4), representing Tyco Fire and Integrated Solutions. They had a net better ball of 21-under-par 119, finishing four strokes clear of the opposition.
