Third-round 80 puts Scott
Jamieson out of rain-hit
Hooters Open money
Glasgow's Scott Jamieson finished well out of the money after a disastrous third round of 80 for a share of 57th place in the rain-shortened Hooters Tour Open at Rock Barn Golf & Spa, Conover in North Carolina today.
Jamieson, after earlier rounds of 76 and 73 to beat the cut, had a double bogey 6 at the 11th, and double bogey 5s at the short 15th and short 17th in halves of 36 and 44. He had birdies at the first, fifth and eighth.
In his first round, the Scot, pictured, had a triple bogey 7 at the fifth and a double bogey 5 at the short 17th.
Florida-based Russell Knox, the Scot who is one of the leading money-winners on the Hooters Tour, did not play in this event - the last for four weeks - as he is flying back to Scotland for an eight-day break in his home-town of Inverness.
American Blaine Peffley, who played on the US college circuit as a student at Maryland University, won the $33,566 first prize by three strokes with scores of 72, 69 and 68 for seven-under-par 209.
Runner-up was Scott Stallings with 74, 67 and 71 for 212, a shot ahead of a third American, Justin Smith, with scores of 74, 67 and 71.
