Scott Jamieson has nightmare 80

in third round of Hooters Open

Russell Knox is not playing in this weekend's Hooters Tour Open over 72 holes at Rock Barn Golf & Spa, Conover in North Carolina.
Russell is coming back home - if he can call Inverness home these days - for a short break from his base for the past few years at Jacksonville Beach in Florida.
That leaves Scott Jamieson, like Knox a former US college circuit player, to carry the standard for Scotland.
And he had a nightmare third round of 80 for a tally of 13-over-par 229.
The Glasgow man had three double bogeys - at the 11th, short 15th and short 17th. Birdies at the first, fifth and eighth were not enough to compensate in halves of 36 and 44.
Another former US college player David Skinns, now living in Atlanta, Georgia had rounds of 73, 75 and 75 for 223.
In the race for the $33,566 jackpot prize, three men shared the lead of 141 at the halfway point - Justin Smith from Pennsylvania with 67 and 74, Scott Stallings from Tennessee with 74 and 67, and Blaire Peffley, also from Pennsylvania with 72 and 69.
