MURRAY URQUHART ON 77 AFTER FIRST
ROUND OF NASHUA MASTERS IN S AFRICA
Northern Open champion Murray Urquhart from Inverness is well back in a share of 77th place with fellow Scot Alan McLean after the opening round of the Nashua Masters at Wild Coast Sun Country Club in South Africa.
Both players had 77s - seven over par.
Urquhart bogeyed the first, birdied the fifth, bogeyed the sixth and seventh before he had an eagle 3 at the 12th, which might have turned his day around. But it didn't he bogeyed the 15th and 17th to finish on 77.
The third Scot in the field, Euan Little, is in joint 11th place with a 67 - three shots behind pacemakers Theunis Spangenberg and Mark Murless, both South Africans.
