MEN'S HOME INTERNATIONALS DAY 2

SCOTS HELD BY WALES IN FOURSOMES
- AND ENGLAND TRAIL ONCE AGAIN

For the second day in a row, Scotland were held to a 2 ½-2 ½ draw in the morning foursomes. Ireland did it yesterday. Today Wales followed their example.
Scotland’s foursomes winners were Lloyd Saltman and George Murray followed by Glenn Campbell and Paul O’Hara.
The Richie Ramsay-Scott Jamieson partnership had a square match, also for the second day in a row, while Kevin McAlpine and Scott Henry lost, as did John Gallagher and Jonathan King.
Paul O'Hara, who has been playing very well, is rested for the afternoon singles and Keir McNicoll will come in for his first outing of the day.
England came back to beat Wales after losing the foursomes so perhaps too much should not be read into a lunchtime scoreline today of: England 1½, Ireland 3½.
England’s only foursomes winners were veteran Gary Wolstenholme and Jamie Moul.
