CRAW'S NEST TASSIE

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF WITH CHAMPION MANN TOP QUALIFIER AND BEATEN FINALIST MARSHALL
NO 7 SEED AT CARNOUSTIE

So far, history is repeating itself in the week-long Craw's Nest Tassie tournament over the Carnoustie Links championship course.
Last year Scott Mann, the +4 Carnoustie Caledonia player, was No 1 of the 64 qualifiers for the match-play stages - and he went on to win it. This time round, Scott, pictured right with the trophy last year, is again the leading qualifier with 75 and 66 for 141.
That's three shot ahead of Steve Adkins (Stock Brook Manor) (79-65) with Stephen Brooks (Blyth) earning the third seed berth with 73 and 72 for 145.
Graham Marshall, a one-handicapper from Birstall and beaten 2 and 1 in last year's final by Mann, qualified seventh of 64 - exactly his position last year.
