Scotland's Senior Men bid for European

team title in Denmark

Tuesday 3rd September 2019

Scotland’s Senior Men are set to compete later today as the 2019 Senior Men’s European Team Championship gets underway.  Taking place at Rungsted Golf Club in Denmark, from the 3rd to 7th of September, the Scottish Senior Men’s team which travelled to Denmark included Scottish Senior Men’s Open Champion Graham Bell and Scottish Senior Order of Merit leader Ronnie Clark.

Graham Bell said, “I have played in this team event before and it is a really good competition which is what we are looking for. We have a strong team that is certainly as strong as it could be, I know most of the guys and we always have good fun together which is the best bit about the team events. We all know what to expect and are hoping to represent Scotland well this week.”

Clare Queen, Performance Director at Scottish Golf, said, “Representing Scotland is a great honour to every player. The Senior Men’s commitment to attend this year’s tournament highlights exactly what it means to play for Scotland and the team here at Scottish Golf would like to wish the team all the best this week in Denmark.”

Scottish Golf recognises the team-wide effort from all players to raise funds that have supported the cost of travel and accommodation for this year’s event. This has been made possible through the support of One Stop Access, NCS, Ellmoll Ltd and Stewart & Shields Building Contractors.

As with all its National Squads, Scottish Golf has supported the Senior Men’s team through entry to the event and by providing official PING team kit.  A full team list for Scotland’s Senior Men’s Team can be found below.
