Aberdeenshire, Perth and Kinross make good 

start to women's jamboree at Ballater

Aberdeenshire and Perth and Kinross claimed the first-day honours at Ballater in the Northern Division womens Jamboree.
Aberdeenshire beat Northern Counties 5.5 to 3.5 (foursomes 2-1 for Aberdeenshire, singles 3.5-2.5) while Perth and Kinross beat Angus 5.5 to 3.5 (foursomes 1.5-1.5, singles 4-2 for P and K).

Here's how it all finished:

Perth and Kinross were neck and neck with Aberdeenshire going into the final round of ties on the Monday. Aberdeenshire were held to a 4.5-4.5 draw by Angus, which meant that Perth and Kinross, 5-4 winners over Northern Counties in their last match, finished as Northern Division champions and go forward to Peebles and the Scottish womens county team finals from August 30 to July 2
