Kemnay course flooded: NE Alliance competition abandoned
Today's North-east Golfers Alliance competition at Kemnay had to be abandoned at lunchtime when the greenkeeper closed the course because of flooding on the fairways and greens after a lengthy period of heavy rain and high winds..
A total of 61 players had played off and the best scratch score in at the time the course was closed was a one-over-par 72 by local member Jordan Calder.
After the rain, the course was swept by gale-force winds which continued to prevent play.
