Hutcheon shares lead with Hendriksen on  first-round, six-under-par 66

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) and Englishman Paul Hendriksen from Devon club, Ivybridge, share the lead on six-under-par 66 in the chase for the £10,000 first prize at the PGA Professional Championship over 72 holes at Little Aston Golf Club, Sutton Coldfield.
Hutcheon laid the foundations of his excellent score by birdieing four of the first seven holes - the first, third, fourth and seventh - before a bogey-par finish to his ouward half of 32.
He was back on the sub-par trail after the turn with birdies at the 12th and 14th before the highlight of his round - an eagle 3 at the 15th. What a pity he bogeyed the 18th for 34 home.
Hendriksen also had an eagle, six birdies and two bogeys, birdieing the 15th and 18th to join Hutch in the pole position.
Paul O'Hara (North Lanarkshire Leisure), winner of the tournament 12 months ago, is sharing third place with a 67, having gone out in 31 after birdies at the first, second, third and fith.
