Greg and Hannah defend their titles at Lossiemouth this coming week

SCOTTISH GOLF PREVIEW
Young golfers from across Scotland are gathering at Lossiemouth for the coming week's Xact Scottish boys’ and girls’  championships.
The events takes place from Monday to Friday (July 2 to 6) over the world renowned links at Moray Golf Club and will see all competitors play 36 holes of stroke play over the Old and New Courses for the chance to reach the match-play stages.
The event is one of the season’s most eagerly anticipated fixtures for Scotland’s young golfers and sees last year’s champions Greg Dalziel (Airdrie) and Hannah Darling (Broomieknowe), pictured above, returning to defend their titles. Hannah was only 13 when she won the girls' U18 title at Scotscraig last year - the youngest ever winner of the Scottish championship.
Almost 180 players will compete over the first two days before the top 64 boys and 32 girls progress through to the match play stages from Wednesday with the added bonus of a place in the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open pro-am on Wednesday 25th July for the top male and female stroke-play qualifiers.
With the beautiful weather set to continue and entry free – go along to Lossiemouth and lend your support to the Scotland’s young golfing stars
