French amateur Alexandre Fuchs remains leader of the Saint-Malo Golf Open after round 2 at -12 total at the Saint-Malo Golf Resort.
Argentina’s Sebastian Bergagna turned in the best card of the day at -8 to move up to 6th place tied at -8 total. Bergagna made 2 eagles, 6 birdies and a double bogey.

Fuchs is followed by Thomas Grava (FRA) who is at -10 total and by a group of 3 players at -9 total: Felix Mory (FRA, am), Robin Goger (AUT) and Clemens Gaster (AUT).

«  My day was great with some ups and downs. I had a very strong start with 4 birdies in the first 6 holes and then I made 2 bogey on holes 10 and 11 » Fuchs said. «  It was tough with the wind this afternoon, the greens were not as good as for my first round but I’m happy, I’m going to keep the same plan for the next few days, have fun and we’ll see what happens. I’m feeling good about my game, I think it’s going to be a fun weekend » he added.

«  My driving was a bit less accurate today but it was in play every time. I did not put any balls out of bounce except on hole 16 where I snapped it on the left. My putting was solid even though I missed a few putts today but I made a lot of good putts nevertheless. I made a 6ft putt on hole 18 for my last birdie of the day » he concluded.

Fuchs made 6 birdies, 2 bogeys and a double bogey.

Weather conditions were very misty in the morning then humid and sunny in the afternoon with temperatures in the mid-20s.

51 players including 8 amateurs made the cut set at -2 and will play round 3 tomorrow. The final round is scheduled for Sunday.
