Connor and Hannah are 2018 Scottish boy and

girl champions at Lossiemouth

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Connor Wilson from Castle Park Golf Club, Haddington is the new Scottish U18 boys' golf champion. In today's (Friday) 18-hole final over the Old Course at Moray Golf Club's Lossiemouth links, Wilson beat Royal Aberdeen's Liam Waldron by 2 and 1.

Neither competitor played as well in the final as they had both done to reach the last stage. Waldron, on right in picture with a red shirt, led only once in a scrappy final. He won the sixth to go one up but was pulled back to square against at the next hole.
Wilson was two over par for the holes played.
Hannah Darling (Broomieknowe) won the U18 girls' title for the second year in a row - and she is only 14 years of age! A star in making, Darling beat Louise Duncan (West Kilbride) by 4 and 3 in the final with six-under-par figures. Hannah simply outclassed the opposition, starting with the stroke-play qualifying.

Romy Erskine (Kilmacolm), playing off 11, beat Iona Reid (Nairn Dunbar) (24) to win the girls' handicap final by 2 and 1.
