Lawrence Allan finishes top Scot (T9) at EuroPro Tour Final Q School

Jack Davidson, a 21-year-old Welshman from the Llanwern Golf Club, carded a final round of 67, which included an  ace on the 13th hole, to win the first prize of £2,400 by four shots in the  PGA EuroPro Tour Qualifying School Final Stage at Frilford Heath Golf Club, Oxfordshire today.

Lawrence Allan (Alva) finished the top Scot in a share of ninth place on 211 with scores of 72, 71 and 68. He earned £720

Davidson took the lead with a bogey-free second round of 65 - the lowest of the tournament - and kept his nerves under control to win by four strokes with an aggregate of 13-under-par 203 (71-65-67).

The players have been competing to earn the highest possible category on the 2018 PGA EuroPro Tour, i.e. the higher the category the more events a player has access to.

 All those who had progressed to Final Stage earned at least a category 14 rating , with golfers making the Final Stage cut earning a minimum category 10 and the top 30 earning category 3.

The 2018 PGA EuroPro Tour season gets underway at Frilford Heath Golf Club with The Matchroom Sport Championship from Wednesday, May 16 to Friday, May 18.
