Wright and Huguet win £500 first prize with  better-ball 67 at Kingsbarns

West Linton's Gareth Wright and Norman Huguet (Musselburgh) teamed up to win the £500 first prize in today's (Monday) PGA in Scotland better-ball pairs tournament at Kingsbarns Golf Club.
They dovetailed well to return a better-ball score of five-under-par 67 to head a field of 34 pairs and win by one stroke from Craig Everett (Kingsbarns) and Stewart Savage (Dalmuir) who earned £400.
Third place on 69 was shared by Chris McMaster (Downfield) and Ross Leeds (Archerfield), and Paul O'Hara (North Lanarkshire Leisure) and Michael Patterson (Kilmacolm). Each pair earned £275.
