Craig Lawrie recovers from sticky start 

in Algarve Pro Tour event

Craig Lawrie (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) was three over par after only two holes of the Algarve Pro Tour event, the 54-hole Obidos International Open today (Monday), having started with a bogey 5 and a double bogey 7, but he covered his remaining holes in one under par, with birdies at the sixth and 14th, to post a two-over 74 (40-34).
Lawrie, pictured, ended the day in joint 30th place in a field of 62 competitors.
Fellow Scots Ewen Ferguson and Daniel Young had scores of 75 and 76 respectively to be placed T44 and T55 overnight.
Portuguese player Rui Morris, Andrea Saracino(Italy) and Nicolas Aparico(France) share a one-stroke  lead on  four-under 68 from Belgium's Kevin Hesbois.
Bom Sucesso golf resort is north of Lisbon on Portugal's western coast.
