Cameron in free fall when play halted in Morocco

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Peterhead's Ross Cameron was probably glad when the second day's play was halted early because of darkness in the Pro Golf Tour's Open Madaef in Morocco today.
Cameron, after a one-over 73 in the first round, had a nightmare opening nine holes in Round 2 and was seven over par for the day when the players were called in. He faces an uphill battle to make the cut, which is projected to fall at 150. But at least the unscheduled break has given him time to gather his thoughts and regroup.
Cameron had had only one par figure on his outward half. He has had a double bogey, six bogeys, one birdie (at the second) and one par in 43 (seven over) to the turn.
Meldrum House's Chris Robb (74-73 for 147) and Philip McLean (Peterhead) (75-74) for 149 look safe to beat the cut when play is resumed Tuesday morning.
Craig Howie (73), Alexander Culverwell (74), Chris Maclean (75), Liam Johnson (77) and Sam Kiloh (79) have still to complete their second rounds.
Kevin Duncan will miss the cut on 154 after rounds of 75 and 79 for a share of 75th place.
