Ronnie Clark, Irishman Carvill share lead with 66s at

European senior men's team championship in Sweden

Scotland's Ronnie Clark and Jim Carvill (Ireland) tied for the lead with matching six-under-par 66s on the opening day of the European Senior Men's team championship at the PGA Sweden National Course at Torup.
The Scotland individual scores were:
66 Ronnie Clark (T1)
71 Graham Bell, Stewart Henderson, Robert Smith (T10).
73 Ian Brotherston (T25)
75 Nick Robson (T39).

The team totals:
347 Ireland. 352 Scotland. 360 England. 368 Germany. 370 Norway, Denmark, Belgium. 371 Sweden. 372 Finland. 373 Spain. 374 France. 379 Iceland. 380 Italy. 381 Netherlands. 389 Switzerland. 398 Czech Rep. 403 Austria. 423 Luxemburg. 427 Slovenia.

Scotland are the defending champions. They beat Germany 3.5-1.5 in last year's championship final.
